Young Leaders: Wadham College

Ages 13 – 18

Young Leaders is a flagship leadership course ideal for ambitious students looking for a challenging summer experience, taking place at Wadham College, University of Oxford.

The course develops key leadership skills such as project and people management, public speaking, teamwork, critical thinking and logic, as well as developing confidence in themselves. Students learn from guest speakers from leading brands and participate in academic workshops at iconic locations such as the Oxford Union.

Each week follows a different theme, designed as a platform to develop skills. They are not study options but instead provide a framework for projects and development of leadership in different areas of life. The themes include:

  • Climate Action

  • Quality Education

  • Health and Well-being

  • No Poverty

  • Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions

Lessons

28 hours of lessons every week with maximum class sizes of 15 students.

Accommodation

Students stay in single rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

Meals

Full board stay, including packed lunches or dinners for excursions.

Excursions

Includes 2 full-day excursions. Excursions vary depending on the specialism chosen.

Student Welfare

There is a dedicated onsite welfare team to look after the students.

Minimum Language Level

Students must have a minimum level of B1 (lower intermediate).
